Scarlet turned back around to face Jena.

"And I forgive you," Jena said. "Y-You've been through a lot. I'm sorry."

"Don't be," Scarlet said. "It was immature of me to doubt you." She hung her head with a sigh, before continuing. "I was jealous," Scarlet admitted.

"W-What," Jena murmured. "But you're so strong and couragious. Why would you be jealous of someone like me?"

"I wasn't jealous of you spicifically," Scarlet said, as she sat down. "I was jealous of the relationship you have with James."

"Why?" James asked.

"Because you're my friend, James," Scarlet said. "My best friend. The first friend I ever had. I didn't want to loose that friendship, to death," then glancing at Jena added. "or to someone else."
