Gramatak?

Aww, thank you!
..and I have to agree, it looks a little bit glossy.. Hopefully my next models will look better

Well, I learn more with every new modell- right now I try to sculpt a dragon and this time the final pose (should) look more interesting as well

Kind of like a velociraptor's ugly cousin, the spiney claw raptor! Cool work!

Thank you!
Heh, I thought this might be also a prehistorical western dragon- they would have needed six limbs in order to envole one arm pair into wings

Wastelander7 In reply to OrmIrian [2010-02-24 22:36:29 +0000 UTC]
You're welcome!
Interesting idea. Especially since in stories like George and the Dragon the dragon is intelligent and capable of speech. Having six limbs would be an asset for an intelligent reptile. He/she could use weapons! That raises some interesting possibilities!

OrmIrian In reply to Wastelander7 [2010-02-25 16:50:58 +0000 UTC]
Yep- but unfortunately, our world somehow base on the four limb system for all "higher" creatures- it would have been interesting to see, if animals with more limbs would have been more successful (probably they would be)
π: 0 β©: 1
Wastelander7 In reply to OrmIrian [2010-02-25 22:40:19 +0000 UTC]
Probably based on size too. Smaller animals can use extra limbs effectively. But, I think the biggest deterrent to extra limbs (other than the difficulty in finding decent shirts ) is the amount of calories it takes to support them. Animals have to find food, and that takes time and energy. If you're expending more energy than you take in, you starve. Small animals don't require as many calories to support their smaller extra limbs. Something as large as a dragon would have to eat a lot of people to power those extra arms.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that, but it would be still awesome if anilmals would have more then four limbs- if they would use it wisely, they probably also can find enough food for their additional limbs.. oh well, maybe we will find sometimes a alien-species with more limbs- or a completely different system to support their body-structure

True. Or maybe a world with less gravity. (Less gravity= less calories consumed to move, breath and hunt.)

That's pretty awesome for your first attempt at using Zbrush! imagine what you will do when you get even better!

Thank you!
Well, I hope I will get better (and I'm sure I will- I don't know the programm that well yet to use it with its full potential)... the most motivating thing is probably the fact that the Avatar characters were sketched with Zbrush (probably they used another programm for the animation though)

Lee99 In reply to OrmIrian [2010-02-24 19:35:00 +0000 UTC]
Keep it up, you will definitely get even better.
Zbrush is obviously a good program if the best of the best use it. ^-^

OrmIrian In reply to Lee99 [2010-02-25 16:07:12 +0000 UTC]
I hope so!
Yep, but more for organic stuff- you probably couldn't use it for sculpting a robot or something... but hey, that's not what I want to use it for!

Lee99 In reply to OrmIrian [2010-02-25 19:52:38 +0000 UTC]
exactly I wonder, can you do scales in zbrush?
π: 0 β©: 1
OrmIrian In reply to Lee99 [2010-02-26 18:13:47 +0000 UTC]
I guess you could, but right now I don't know how I could do that- but I'm sure there is somewhere a texture or method to get good-looking scales

There should be, it makes sense.

wooah du hast mich bei zbrush schon lΓ€ngst weggefickt..
naja bin grad am flash lernen xD

OrmIrian In reply to Aerozopher [2010-02-24 16:52:37 +0000 UTC]
π: 0 β©: 1
Aerozopher In reply to OrmIrian [2010-02-24 17:33:10 +0000 UTC]
also soweit ich des gesehen hab is das eigentlich nich so pralle mit zbrush zu colourieren
π: 0 β©: 1
OrmIrian In reply to Aerozopher [2010-02-25 16:36:06 +0000 UTC]
