Description
This painting is based off of my reaction to the Mogwai song "Hunted By a Freak". I listened to this song throughout the entire process (24+ hours including the thought process/planning). This is done in oil paints on illustration board.Related content

Lovely! I love the colors and the expression, and it's just beautiful. But what's that under her chin? It looks a little high to be her boob, but it doesn't look like her shoulder. *shrugs*

the face is brilliantly done.
so u have a beautiful face..
im no expert at painting.. hell i cnt even paint..
but . .
maybe the colors -- amm black and white..
where ure face is in a black backgrnd.. and the hair is jet black.. but u can still see it in the blackbckgnrd.. ure face darkened.. white with whitish tinch to the face...
it wud look like ure face is in a shadow or something..
i hope ure able make out this crapy suggestion..

amazing use of the paint... i thought it was water color at first. I'm guessing you thinned it down a lot to get the soft textures. I really love it

I love the colors. I have trouble stepping outside of realism with my oil paintings. Congrats on the DD, this is so worth it

oh wow. This is terribly beautiful. This is like the third DD I've looked at the whole time I've been at dA (over a year). Very few catch my eye as this'n. It's so beautiful, she's so very tender and soft, you shaded her beautifully, and you added that amazing touch of color that makes it pop in the most interesting ways.

Oh, lovely...I really like the choice of color for this, but what really caught my eye was her hair. It's got a different color than the rest of the painting, being sort of grayish, that sort of drew me to look.

I love the unusual colors used in making her. You actually used blue for the majority of shading on her face, and it works really well. It looks like something from a dream.

Well, I don't know the song or emtion it's supposed to have exactly, but the use of tertiary colours gives me the impression of feeling unstable...and thus perhaps not in any great mood. I like it...the colours are lovely.
