How many times do the performances of these men and women go unheard of? How many times do they get shoved aside and look down upon because they are ''just doing a silly voice in front of camera. Whether you are aware of it or not they are the voices of many, and I mean MANY characters you've grown to love in video games, cartoons, anime or even movies. So please, acknowledge their work? It can't be replaced by Hollywood actors.Well...
Don't go there dude. Your voice was replicated by a number of guys so don't pretend EVERYONE can do voice acting.

Agreed. As much as I love some famous actors, voice actors deserve just as much credit as them, too.

The Oscars certainly need to start recognizing voice actors. I've come across quite a few examples incredibly worthy of such attention, whether it be from Western animation or English dubs of foreign animation like anime.

Here are some good examples I can think of A List actors actually putting effort into their voice acting.
Steve Carell as Gru from Despicable Me
Phillip Seymour Hoffman as Max from Mary and Max.
Bill Nighy as Grand Santa from Arthur Christmas.
...There's probably more, but those three pop into my mind.

Steve Carell I really liked as Gru, same with Bill Nighy in Arthur Christmas (which is seriously underrated). A personal pick would be Gary Oldman as Lord Shen in Kung-Fu Panda 2.

Some of my favourite actors of all time have done some voice acting...Like say Gary Oldman, and even Jack Black

I'll admit that Gary Old can do some great voice acting without you hearing that it's him. Like when I learned that he was Shen in Kung Fu Panda 2 he was amazed.

One of the most underrated voice actors was Mimi Woods - who did the voice for The Major in the first Ghost in the Shell film. Don't really know what she's up to these days or where she is.

Voice actors should be on the same level as big name Hollywood actors. I know the argument can be made that the animation is doing most of the work, but you still need a good actor to create the character's voice and mood.
Look at A Goofy Movie. Look at how many emotions Goofy pulls in that film and how Bill Farmer does a great job of having the goofball share his disappointment with Max for lying to him, then the scene in the river, then the climax at the waterfall.

Plus there are voice actors who don't sit still. Mark Hamill for example wanted to stand when he did The Joker so he could emulate him better. But even when you lay out those arguments some people still rather have big hollywood actors voice characters which can lead to the audience only hearing the actor but not the character. THAT is the crucial difference.

Back in my younger years I always supported the coice actors. They do deserve more credit.
