Oh dear. Wouldn't be surprised if both were to blame
We'll forgo the questions on just why they're trying to browse the web on a dirt patch in the middle of the countryside. No doubt it seemed like a great idea at the time. Still doesn't explain the fire...

Allow me to explain. Derpy tried to use the computer on the dirt, which clogged the airflow. IE used too many resources, forcing the CPU to overheat further. Finally, Dell's overheat safety protocol did not engage, allowing the CPU to reach combustion levels.
So the blame can be spread to them all.

IE consumes less power than firefox does, in fact it's the most power efficient browser up to date! I'm talking about my own experiecne and proven numbers that watt-metter showed me. 37watts againt constant 59watt is a HUGE difference if you ask me. 59watts could burn entry level laptops especially if the model contain only 1 copper heat pipe! anyway nice comic, loved the idea

Seconded! Applications that are never run use almost NO power. However, despite never being run, IE still finds a way to produce files for ccleaner to delete :\
