Not gonna lie, people... I reeeally want to call her "Plusenta".
anyway, new OC to go with the rest!OK, this was just to vent a little frustration. Just a quick one! God damnit, YouTube is screwed up these days. You know I wouldn't even mind so much (don't really post many videos or comments) except for the friggin' dialogue box that pops up asking me whether this time I maybe wanna sign in with my real name instead of my alias account.
NO. I DO NOT. STOP IT. STOP ASKING.
WHERE is the checkbox saying "Never ask me this question again, die dialogue box, die, I hate you."?
I actually rather like Google+ ON ITS OWN but this integration has been very badly handled... and really would want to minimise use of my real name online anyway. You know, as common sense dictates?!!

Things I like about the change:
1:Β No length limit on comments. (I would have preferred a 1200 char limit to prevent abuse)
2: Hot-linking is allowed now Yay!
Things I don't like:
1: "show comment" is GONE.Β I wanna read the comment that prompted the insult or rage I'm reading, dammit !

A good anti-virus program will stop you from visiting attack sites (I use Avast)
Parents should have a pornblocker installed on their kids computers.

My biggest complain with the new comment system is that it's impossible to post a comment at all without a G+ account. No matter how many times I click the text box, it never focuses. I can't reply to comments or thumb them either.

This is by design - they're both Google services, they are both about socialisation and sharing, in a way, so I sort of designed them to imply they may be related

Eh, even then, most of the problems I have with it is the privacy concerns. The rest I haven't seen any real problem with because I see them more community building tools.

I think the privacy thing has actually been sorted now, as they seem to let you make up any name you want for a G+ account. So if you don't like the idea of using your real name, you can create a separate G+ account with whatever name you wish and use that, it's just a nuisance as you need to set that up (I hear some people have lost all their subs and playlists navigating those waters, but it worked for me).
Hopefully they figure out the remaining "bugs" over the coming weeks

All of those are "could" events, as in "instances where I could care less until they actually affect me directly." This, while not as possibly critical as those you listed, is just as annoying because it actually does affect me. Call it conceited or whatever, but it's just my way of thinking.Β

Nah, I understand! Although you could say (there's that word again) that it would be important to take actions on those other issues because otherwise they will affect you.
But again, it's not affecting you now, so yeah. To be honest I don't think most people will give a crap until such things actually become a problem, but by then it might be too late. (might, could, would...)

I don't hate Google+, I voluntarily made an account way back when it was beginning. Just hate how it's shoved down our throats and screwing up my YouTube accounts.

I understand why people are upset. It's been a rocky transition (to say the least) and people hate change even when it works perfectly.
I was very hesitant to try it until I learned they had gotten rid of the "real name" requirement. Once I learned I could use my much more recognizable "HalflingPony" alias, I gave in and switched. Frankly, I'm liking it. A lot.
It makes managing my multiple Youtube accounts a whole lot easier than it used to be. Especially nice is the ability to set up more than one "manager" for the Google+ page I use to leave most of my comments. That way, no matter which one of my three gmail accounts I'm logged into I can switch over to my "HalflingPony" persona to leave comments without logging into a whole separate Google account.
They definitely *should* give people like you the option to default to a specific alias, but personally I prefer to have it ask me every time. I have two primary "faces" I comment under and do so about equally, depending on the nature of the video. So, asking me at login which one I want to use at the moment works out well for me.
They also seem to be making progress in getting the bugs worked out. Up until yesterday, I couldn't type any new comments on a video if I was using Firefox (though replying worked fine)- I had to switch over to IE to leave a comment. Now it's working fine. I'm hopeful they'll work out the some of the other kinks (like interacting with older comments) soon.

I want to go back to the old youtube... Why do websites not give such options? I run a Windows classic theme on my Windows 7 that reminds me of my glorious windows 98 I used to use all the time and I do not intend on changing that anytime soon. Fking hate all the icons everywhere, now I have nice compact text everywhere.

Interesting idea! But websites usually can't run two versions side by side (although funnily enough, YouTube often did something like that for new features or layouts) as it's technically extremely complex to do.
Unfortunately this wasn't a skin or a theme or optional feature or anything, this was a massive underlying systems change which cannot run alongside the old version; they are completely incompatible systems.

Don't forget how, for whatever reason, YOU CAN'T REPLY, LIKE, OR DISLIKE COMMENTS THAT EXISTED BEFORE THESE CHANGES TO THE COMMENT SYSTEM WERE MADE. That's honestly the only problem I have with it at this point.

To expand on the G+ accounts being created by making comments, a few people have even lost some information. Like, I lost all my likes, playlists, and favorites. And the lake of monitization is ruining everyone's experience. And the 75 sub per day limit, which sucks if you lose all your subs. And the fact you have to have your real name om display or a nick name even though some people can get stocked because of just a name. Seriously, you know who tested this new system? The owner of Google (or so I've heard, could be a little wrong here.), his Β grandmother, and grandfather: not actually important users like Pewdiepie or Smoth, who live and thrive off of the money fro their videos. Not the people who make entertaining content on the site for a job, their family. You know how parents always say, "It's perfect, I love it!" even if it's terrible? I honestly think that's the case.

Comment threading doesn't even work for me, only on G+ posts. Any comment that's replied to another has a link telling you it's a reply, but that link opens the video up in a new tab to show you a single comment. What's more, I can only seem to Thumbs Up/Down G+ comments, no longer regular Youtube comments. :/
