Description
ImageOff with my shoes and socks. A beautiful evening at my local beach. Pebbles scattered the area and pared the incoming waves made for some amazing textures. As you can guess it was a little hit and miss getting the right shots with the wave movement and keeping the tripod stable from sinking into the sand!

Love those pebbles and the chocolatey texture, really stands out even in the thumbnail.

Nice timing and composition.
I'm curious about the choice of crop?

I felt that alot of the image distracted the focus away from the textures of the forground. Thanks Andy

Beautiful shot, really good composition. How much was the 12-24 AUD?

well I paid around 260 pounds sterling from Ebay but the pound is so weak at the moment I wouldn't know what it would be in AUD

thanks. I left my shoes off on the beach but one wave surged through and soaked them

All the best water shots should make you get your feet wet! Shoes included!

but then I couldn't use the shorter shutter speed without losing focus on the image

There are many ways to do it. Filters, etc. One interesting thing...with cs4 is that you can take photos with varying focal points and stack and blend them (automatically) to create an image with greater dof. Fun huh? And depending on what camera you have can always boost iso.
cheerio :-P

Trust me I can't boost ISO with my camera otherwise all hell breaks loose. I know about the other technique but its difficult to get two images the same on a shot like this and also I believe in getting the shot in one, in field.
Thanks. Guy
