ImageMid winter? It seems the unusual seasons over the last 12 months are continuing. A beautiful sunlight morning overlooking the north eastern edge of Dartmoor and beyond felt more like the start to a crisp summers day. I've always envisioned a image like this, colourful vegetation and rolling green hills in low sunlight, I had stumbled across this location a couple of weeks before and waited till I had the chance to return and I certainly wasn't disappointed.

I love it when there is good visibility and I've been waiting a while for these conditions. All I can say is keep looking at the forecasts, although don't rely on them too much otherwise you might miss out on some great conditions.

Love this picture. Perfect light, particularly the way that foreground shadow emphasises the near side of the stone circle. Some branches in the fir trees on the left are making a Gothic arch. Serendipity.
