Description
ImageIt has been a very unusual start to October here in the UK, highs of double the average due to Saharan winds have somewhat made up for the lack of sunshine in the summer. I took full advantage and met up with ~Alex37 for a wild camp at Watern Tor, a remote location that we somehow decided to take the hardest route to get to...
I don't make a habit using people as a focal point in my landscape images however they do make a great rule of scale and interest. A small gap between these giant formations framed the dawn sky beyond and ~Alex37 was my willing subject.
Location
Watern Tor, Dartmoor, UK

Very nice idea and I think even more powerful than the crevice by itself.

Nice composition, Guy. Love the light and the rock formations. As for Alex, was he holding his hands into his pockets?

I believe he did, he had to stand as still as possible

That would have been a good moment for him to receive a kick in the butt. I'm joking!!!

Awesome work. The rock looks like many faces looking down on him.

Great ! I like this. A poor human trapped in a bottle and yearning for the exit...
It's a nice use of the silhouette with perfect colors. Thanks !

That's very striking. Its the type of photograph that would catch your attention from across the room. Many landscapes won't.

Thank you, it certainly differs from the norm, I also have a shot without him there and I'm trying to decide which one I will upload to my website...

The silhouetting is perfect here, the color provides a great accent.
