Description: Aardvarks are the "Anteaters of the Afrothere family," which the discoverers inaccurately depict that aardvarks are anteaters. Despite that they look like anteaters, they are more closely related to elephants and hyraxes, rather than them, while anteaters are closely related to sloths and armadillos. Aardvarks can eat up to 50,000 termites each night, which they collects with its sticky tongue that it can extend to 30cm. Not only that, they are excellent diggers, so that they can dig on hard ground, even more faster than a pack of human-sized humanoids with shovels. The aardvark is a mammal that looks like a pig, with long donkey-like ears, with hairs inside of their nostrils, with sharp claws for digging, and with a long serrated tail. Their defense is that they can dig fast or run in zigzag fashion to elude enemies, but if all else fails, they will strike with their claws, tail and shoulders, sometimes flipping onto their backs lying motionless except to lash out with all four feet. They are capable of causing substantial damage to unprotected areas of an attacker. They will also dig to escape as they can, when pressed, dig extremely quickly. Did you know that Orycteropus afer, was one of the only species of aardvark that lived today.
