Description: The Graey mongooses are among the most popular members of the mongoose family, rivaled against the banded mongoose and the meerkat. As they are the real-life species for Rikki-Tikki-Tavi, the mongooses live in western Asia rarely, but more commonly on the Indian subcontinents. When preying upon snakes and other venomous animals, these mongooses can usually avoid being bitten by snakes and sting from scorpions. This makes it possibly a pest control in India to get rid of the pests out of their masters' houses, when the mongooses are easily tamed. We all know that mongooses are prohibited in USA as wild animals who are introduced, except for Hawaii.
