They are more closely related to anteaters and sloths, rather than pangolins. The nine-banded armadillo was the most famous of all armadillos that lived today, and they lived from Brazil to Southwest-Central USA, thanks for their defence was rolling themselves up into a ball, as they hide themselves from predators, like pumas, maned foxes, American golden jackals(or coyotes), black bears, red wolves, spotted panthers, alligators, bobcats, and big birds of prey. The dasypods are not-so-aggressive, and solitary mammals, that are nocturnal which they stay up all night. Males have bigger territories but theirs are overlapped, and they coincide their ranges of several females. Did you know that baby armadillos are called, puppies?
