Oh hey, the energy’s still weird around aberrants. What’s new? XD

Authors Notes:

Aberrants of a certain level can, indeed, understand pokemon~! The level is based off a scale of the severity of aberrancy, ranging from 1 (i.e ice types are just abnormally cold) to 4 (i.e phoebe turning fully invisible). The closer to 4 you are, the more of a chance you have of understanding pokespeech.

I can’t believe I forgot what I named her (I think it was similar to Ida), but this slaking is an old lady and she is…not very good at eyesight. Her heart is in the right place though <3

Mitsuki! Also maybe called Mitsuko throughout the chapter (if you see one of those artifacts of me not knowing what her name is, no you didn’t). Who is she? Well you can probably guess but we’ll have to wait until later to find out.

I got to play with a different kind of tension on this page (and through the whole chapter, really). Essentially, the tension of dealing with a strict parent gave me a surprisingly nice relief from the tension/animosity of people who don’t know each other but who fucked around and found the right buttons to push.
