OH BOY this update....
I don't know what happened this time around, but I think this has taken the spot as my favorite page i've done so far. My art style somehow changed? Without me making a conscious effort. Or at least that's what I like to think, but between the character lineups and newfound reliance on reference I think my style is finally gaining some consistency...

Author's Notes:
- I wanted the colors to be super poppy and bright to reflect the childish environment that Asadi's found herself waking up in. Between the scattered belongings and the misc pokemon wandering all over the place, the challenge was to display that innocent chaos without making the panels too cluttered. It was alot of work keeping track of all the objects, people and pokes but the end result makes me really proud to be an artist..lol truly. I wasn't expecting this page to have as much energy as it did in my head, but I somehow managed to capture that on the canvas and i'm s h o o k

- This was originally supposed to be much longer but I wanted to get something up. The next one will make up for it

- Sammy's "senpai noticed me" face in panel...10 I think..? Kills me. everytime. How did it turn out that cute I can't.

- We're gonna get actual introductions to everybody's teams at some point, but I think this is the first time i've had this many non-bg pokemon in one panel? Everybody has names and personalities (and backstories to a certain extent), this is just the first time we're seeing them haha Btw none of them should be out right now, but Miss Gidget's away so the kids will play I suppose

- Mikael has summer homework, which involves reading a book and doing some questions. He often reads to Nathan so it's not so boring. Speaking of the boys, their starters are related. Mikael's Grovyle Ayden is the older brother to Nathan's treecko Tilly.

- Sleeping in your contacts can cause alot of issues. Asadi's lucky she only had headaches :/

- Leave it to cohen to make somebody cry. Also what even is a whismur. Trying to redesign the floofballs in my style gave me a headache >-< Cri is cute though, if not a bit of a brat.
