We're back on these!! This time, with documentation
So i've done regular variations, and hybrid lines, so this time I wanted to try my hand at designing a whole new evolution. Granted, any of these variants could be brand new evolutions, but Delurade is the first time i'd approached this with that idea wholly in mind. It was fun getting to name this one too Masquerain is a combination of Masquerade + Rain. Soooo, Delurade is a combination of Deluge + Masquerade. Also if you think that saltwater surskit looks familiar. Well....

Now for the spheel! Although the versions of pokemon that we know from the game are the most common forms in Leftovers, numerous (but not all) lines have variations. Whether for environmental reasons or regulatory. We've already seen a couple variations in comic so far, but I hope to go more into these in the future.
As for now, I hope you enjoy the little bit of worldbuilding here!

man delurade is just beautiful to look at. love that so many of your variants are still in hoenn, but it's vastly different biomes naturally make its pokemon adapt and change

Also heheheheh, im glad sootopolis excites you. I feel like its so far out/late game that people tend to forget it exists. Honestly, alot of the islands in hoenn are easily forgettable besides, maybe pacifidlog. Sootopolis in general has a history of being very isolationist in the world of Leftovers, so there may be other mons they've claimed, as well...

It's not! There's a surprising amount of hoenn mon like that unfortunately haha

I think a lot of hoenn mon suffer because stat and movepool wise they aren't that stellar. A lot of the new mon introduced in jhoto had that issue too. They got better in Gen4 in creating more memorable mon.
