Description Once there was a stamp like this made by !ariokage , but now it's gone, I decided to create one similar, only with the black font more centered and the edges having a transparent background.

Read the description here it sums it up well.
"First off; cool, cute, and nice aren't comments.
Second that's not even trying. Most are either lacking caps or punctuation if not both.

Is typing things like:
"That's really cute."
"Haha, wow, this looks really cool!"
"Oh wow, awesome job!"
etc
really that hard?"

Pearly-There In reply to ??? [2019-05-03 17:58:47 +0000 UTC]

Back in the day of 2006, 'simple' comments were born. Awwwww! Kawaiii! Cuuute! Sexy! Hot! Now these seem harmless, until you see fifty of them lined up, or the famous: XD. Ha! XP. : ), and so on. They tell the artist nothing.

Not what's cute.
What's funny.
What tf the comments are about.

Half of them appear on images of animals cut in half or rape pieces.

The rest appear entirely on out of context beyond the above. Your animal is dying and you try to raise money for vet? Kawaooo, cute! XP. You just posted a bear mauling a puppy's face and blood all over, hot! XD! Kawaii!Β

It's not giving anywhere to go and often they're by people who think abuse is attractive and comment the same stuff on rape yaoi that they do on puppies.Β

So the issue is the stigma. Adding a few more words to say what's cute makes sense, going 'lol, cute' on a picture of my cat ran over with eyes bulged out and blood on their teeth does not make a damn bit of sense.

But writhing good comments is hard! I'm not native english but i'm bad at commenting even in my native language. When i see great work i have feeling "wow! its a really beautiful work that changed my day and makes me happy. i want to share my happiness with artist andΒ thank them for making it. " But describing feelings about something is hard and gives me headache like if i need to do something that need skills i don't have.Β
This comment is huge but this theme is a big pain for me, because i wish i could comment better and don't get headache every time i'm trying to make good comment.Β

Your quoted comment would be enough of one to say on a picture.

MY GOODNESS THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I've been looking forever. Like, if English is your second language, sure, but in MYΒ  experience, most people to say this are native English speakers.

That qualifies as spam and can get them blocked so doesn't matter if all they can type is one word, it's spam.

I mean you aren't entitled to a comment. If someone comments something complimentary why rag on it? I get people can spam it and it gets annoying but drop the entitlement? If someone compliments your art to let you know that they like it and it bothers you so much, delete it from your inbox, block them, idc

You know one word comments can be reported as spam for a reason, right? Because they fall under spam on DA's rules. So there's your answer.

Well, 'cute' technically is a comment, because you are typing something in the comment section.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Pearly-There In reply to PixelatedKittens [2016-03-11 21:25:52 +0000 UTC]

Most people who this stamp is directed to are those who say cute on everything.

There are people -I shit you not- who say cute on:
A picture of someone being raped.
A picture of an abusive couple.
An image of someone after they cut themselves.
Dead puppies.

It's not a comment, it's a copy paste. I don't want to argue, but there are people who have over 1,000 comments they've made which are "cute" and "kawaii" copy pasted. It's gross and I don't believe one word is a proper comment on anything, after seeing someone's hard work get fifty "cute"s it becomes very anti encouraging.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PixelatedKittens In reply to Pearly-There [2016-03-12 06:11:14 +0000 UTC]

Dude, you are truly stupid. When people say 'cute' on those photos their being sarcastic, which means that they actually mean the opposite of cute c:

(And why did you use dead puppies as an example?? And I don't think their are pics of people being raped lmao.. the goverment would remove it.)

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 2

SpicecreamSundae In reply to PixelatedKittens [2018-06-28 05:43:36 +0000 UTC]

You don't think there are pictures of people being raped? Um, hello, have you heard of the bondage fetish?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Pearly-There In reply to PixelatedKittens [2016-03-12 07:17:31 +0000 UTC]

Sure, if you say so, lol, no, there are teenagers who really mean it.

Because there's dead puppy pictures on this site and rape pictures both drawn and taken in photographs where people have commented saying cute. A lot of people in -say the Steven Universe fandom- draw plenty of rape and it gets so many comments of people finding _____'s suffering hot and adorable.

And lawl if you think that all rape images are taken down by the government, go on tumblr and type in "rape gif" or search their rape tag and see how much gross shit people get away with posting of another person's suffering and porn blogs actually reblog it.Β

OddyDot In reply to Pearly-There [2017-03-25 17:17:55 +0000 UTC]

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

PixelatedKittens In reply to Pearly-There [2016-03-12 16:44:15 +0000 UTC]

Once again, when they say 'cute', they are being sarcastic. Or maybe it is a fetish, don't judge.
(Steven Universe? Do you mean Rule 34? Because that's what the site is for. m8)

And the dead puppies, is most likely a drawing. If not, yes it's not that nice to comment 'cute'. But you should rename your post, because that
has people thinking that you mean 'IF SM1 DAWS A PICTUE THT S CUTee U CANT SAIYYY CUTE11111!!!13Z211'

And btw, a majority of the rape pics are taken down by goverment or filtered by Google's Safesearch. (If you use it)

I use Safesearch and luckily have not found one of those pictures/drawings of rape.

Have a good day

Pearly-There In reply to PixelatedKittens [2016-03-12 18:26:44 +0000 UTC]

Dead puppies as in pictures of them.
Photographs.

There's cute taxidermy as well, which is a matter of opinion.
Given a taxidermied puppy or kitten being called cute makes me confused.

But go on video sites and find people crushing kittens with comments reading cute if you want, either way, you're just being annoying with the "safe search" and stuff, of course you can't find that stuff unless it's MLP with safe search on, but that's how you miss most things.Β

Pearly-There In reply to Vaya-Dragon [2014-08-30 09:44:13 +0000 UTC]

Depends on what you define as mean.

There's people who troll with these types of comments, sending you ten to twenty of them in a few minutes and they go through a gallery copy pasting it. I saw someone on DA who went from one to a hundred cute comments in five minutes.
Sometimes those types comment it on the same picture day after day to where it was two pages of "cute" as a comment.

Cute includes the "kawaii" word being used for me. Considering almost all "kawaii" comments go like this.

"Awww cute kawaiii!"
"Kawaiii(that means cute btw)"
"How Cute and kawaii"
"It's so Kawaii(cute)"

So I see the two in the same comment most often.
