Description
The second map I made for Neo Monsters. This was made in December last year. Looking back at this one now, I'm not too pleased with it. The blue of the water doesn't go well with the rest of the map, and I could have done a lot more with the Autumn theme. Oh well. You only improve over time and it's good to look back at things like this. Let me know what you all think anyway.Credits:

I don't, actually, though I could easily make one. Although for this one I think it'd probably have looked better with a pinkish water, to match the autumn theme.

If you have a look at my YouTube channel I did start a guide to mapping, but I wasn't really pleased with it and haven't made any new parts yet. There's also a short video of me mapping on there as well if you wanted to get an idea of how I do it. As for Patreon, I did try it a while ago but didn't get any interest. What kind of stuff would you like to see as rewards?

Well mapping isn't as cool as seeing how u are doing your pixel models, which u are placing in the maps.
Thats also what i meant by tutorial.
If your main content would be about how u do your stuff it would be much better than how u placed it.
Also if you are doing pixel art u are more free on Patreon in things u do, like u can do pixel art from an anime character for example or you know u get commision for drawing something in this pixel style.
I mean surely u can do gifs from your pixel art too , so if u would do a pixel art of Samuel L. Jackson with Eye Patch spitting fire it may give you more attention and you maybe created a meme if u know what i talk about.
For instance my lil sis is doing anime stuff , she is not as good as i am in drawing realistic things or composings,desiging etc. yet but she did some pixel art Undertale Emojicons for Deviant Art and this one was used 900 times at one day
Wait for the next game hype and create something with pixel art for it, repeat this sometimes while u are having your Patreon and you´ll get more and more out of it.

Love the color palette! The trees look great, but the smaller ones look like they have a hole on top. Looks a bit weird. Other than that, it's perfect! I would have added some pokemon or NPC to see how well they go with the background, tough!

Thank you! I know what you mean about the smaller trees, and I actually stopped using them in the later maps that I'll be uploading for that very reason. And yeah, Pokémon and NPC would have made it look better, but since this was commissioned for a non-Pokémon game I thought it would be better to leave it. Thanks for the feedback!

I haven't actually played the game, but I didn't realize they were using fanmade Pokemon tiles for their mapping style.

They aren't, they have their own tilesets to use in the game. I just map using my own tileset.
