Description
Shrent City, East of Kindlewood Town from the north and Larcoon City from the south. The ferry allows access to the desert island which lies in the middle of Okyto. Shrent is the second biggest city in the region, and the capital of south Okyto. It will be in v2.0 of the demo. This map took me so long to do. It took me about four months of trying to get the original design right, then a staggering 14 revisions. I still think it can be better though, so please tell me about anything you think could be better.
The mountain thing at the left is a cave, where fossils are excavated. It recently had a catastrophic cave-in, trapping all of the fossil diggers inside. The rocks outside are what have been removed in the rescue effort, so far.
Update: House palettes changed, new area added to the south west, all shadows changed and some more palette changes.
As always, I put a map on here which I think is perfect in every way, and then change it ten times. At version 16 now...

Extra special credit to BoOmxBiG, who helped me loads with a few things in this map; Alucus who revamped the houses; and PrinceLegendario for the custom gym.

Let me separate my critique into four parts according the rating categories.
Vision:
This is what I love the most - the seaside city, surrounded by water, forest and rocks. The idea of leveling the city is so nice and makes the city look original, not like a flat piece of paper. Platforms on the water... Wow. This is the most unique element of this map.
Originalty:
I like the buildings, never seen them before. Making unique gyms for each type is quite original too, you know, putting 8 identical buildings is just simple, and making different ones makes the map quaint.
Technique:
Well, I have to complain a little. First, hills are angular, it makes the map so unnatural. Second, why did you place a serie of rocks near the bike shop? And why on the pavement? This is the second unnatural thing which I suggest you to fix. Next, the mart's building has its roof too narrow, speaking of buildings - the gatehouse's colour doesn't really blend the environment. And the last, just a little thing, I suggest you to remove the lanterns from the platforms... Water plus electricity equals...
Impact:
Even though there are some technical error I love this city so much and it's really stunning (like wires above the water xD). I just want to play it and visit it again in-game.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a comprehensive critique, I really appreciate it.
The reason that I didn't reply until now is because I've been trying to take all of your advice and improve the map.
I've attempted to make it less square by adding the house to the south west, and by changing the part in front of the ferry building. I've widened the department stores roof a bit as well. There are loads of other changes, so here's the original one you critiqued for comparison: [link]
And the rocks on the pavement are explained in the description xD

Thank you! Which buildings specifically? Almost all of them are made by different people xD

Ah, right. They're made by me and are private, I'm afraid.

Wonderful Mapping Peeky
The way the City flow's, is just fantastic
However I'd remove the table with the drink (at the top), doesn't really fit in...
Other then that, the tiles are well made, and the SS Anne Remake Boat (which I think you did) fits in perfectly
Good Work

Thanks again
That's thanks to some extreme polishing. Over about a year I've been perfecting the map so it's as good as it can be (although saying that, however many times I think one is finished I always change something again xD.
I think it fits in more when you see that this is the inside of the building it's next to: [link]
Yep, I made it. Thanks, it took a lot of time to make xD

wow. this is simply an amazing city. I love the Rock type gym, the tree tiles, the beech, the cave, the ship, well heck everything is great! the only thing i have to say about the map is the cave entrence is a little odd. but it's still great. All in all, one of the best maps i've seen yet.

Thanks. Yeah, although the normal games cities are really good, they lack those little extra things.
