Its nice to see someone else's dragons. your draconic anatomy is superb. he looks nocturnal due to his large eyes. overall, a very fine drawing.

I was inspired by geckos for the eyes
I am really glad you like them, I can try and produce some more, dragons are not something that I draw oftenly, i just felt like sketching a few of them so I did, but they were a lot of fun

awesome. totally cool using geckos as reference. i did that once and it looked like a tokay with horns and wings. rather cute actually.

its definitely the eyes. especially in leopard and new caledonian giant geckos.

especially cute though, are the ones who clean their own eyes with their tongues.

It's got a beak!!! Dragons should really have beaks more in my opinion. And also maybe fur.

Yh, i also prefer scaly dragons alot, but apparently it's likely they would have fur if they were warm-blooded, which i like to think they are. Like i say though, scaly dragons do look much cooler than furry ones, if there are any besides mine....

Yeah... I guess that warm-blooded dragons would be furry or feathered, but I gladly agree that scaly ones look much cooler. They would turn into supersized archeopteryxes with horns and an extra pair of legs, or long.tailed bats with crocodylian heads and that doesn't sound as good. They're mythological, so I like to sticl with the widespread perception.

hmmm that's a hard thing to answer... Well armadillos don't have overlapping scales, but they have them arranged one next to another, which is quite like what nihtfury had, right? It might not be very likely, but...

Ehh... it's probably as close as they could get with the not actually true scales thing. Or maybe the dragon's ancestors had feathers or fur and lost it as it was prone to being set on fire.

Those massive wings, plus the overall proportions, make it look very realistic...

Well wyverns have two wings and two legs, while dragons have four legs plus wings...
