Description
One of my favorite species to observe are green herons. Their ability to blend in to their surroundings is incredible, and they are able to keep completely still for long periods of time. This green heron was taking refuge on a branch which a turtle was also resting on, which is what the heron is looking at. It would have been interesting to see it go after the turtle, but it was about the same size as the bird.Green heron- Arizona

It is not even close as good as yours (My camera sucks for these shots :/ ), but here it is. These are not babies anymore... I think youngsters would be more appropiate

wow! A turtle the size of the heron lol, no wonder the bird has a concerned expression
A turtle that big might take a nip at its toes
