I personally think that GIMP is 10000000000x better than Photoshop, because you can make animations, edit pictures, and many things that are possible with Photoshop, except you don't have to break your pockets

Um, the only problem with mine is that the fuzzy select tool doesn't keep the parts of my picture that I click highlighted...any suggestions?

sometimes it doesn't show the fuzzy lines around the selected parts, try zooming in or out to see them better

you might not know this- it might just be my computer.
but i saved a gimp file twice and want to delete one- but if i press the delete key it doesn't work.. is there like a 'special' way to delete files? lool

Um, sorry if this sounds dumb but I drew some line art in ms paint and now I'd like to color it in Gimp with the help of your tutorial, so how would I go about putting my line art on a new layer if its already automatically put on the background when I open it? >.>

Use the color select tool and delete the white parts of your drawing

Excuse my stupidity, but I can't seem to find the layers window. You know, the one that shows a thumbnail of each layer and names it? Just like the one you show under where it says "Just take a look @ my layers!"? I can't seem to access that. How do I open that window?
