thanks for the warning. my dial up is so slow i waited 3 hours for a 2min youtube video to lod then the internet diconected itself. but for some reason deviantart stuff loads quite well. Nice tutorial

Go to windows>dockable dialogs, and you can find your layers window.

One question...what version of Gimp did you use in this tut? I have 2.6, and I tried following this, but I got stuck at the 'click the eye part'. I can't switch between layers, and I don't see no eye.

you have to delete the layer [first one] that has the pen tool on it.
