Description
With special guest character, Jen.Additional info
-Snipers in the military usually act in teams: The shooter and the spotter. The spotter has a scope or binoculars to calculate the windage, distance, etc and confirms the kill for the shooter.
-Anti-materiel rifles come in semi-auto and bolt action as well.
-Anti-material rifles are NOT anti-tank rifles.

You never told about the granddaddy of them all: The Mauser Gewehr 1888 and the Gewehr 1898! The ones that made bolt actions, well, bolt actions...

Not just the M4A1 specifically, but the whole AR-15 series: [link]
Though I suggest you watch this one about assault rifles in general, first: [link]

i think i under stood some of that... so what are anti-tank rifles?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
PhiTuS In reply to Hiroshira [2010-11-24 15:49:40 +0000 UTC]
I suppose they're like even bigger anti-materiel rifles.
But apparently, anti-tank rifles are now obsolete since 1) modern tank armor is much more advanced and 2) we use missile launchers as anti-tank weapons now. This is why you only see Anti-tank rifles that come from WWII.
I have a bunch of other gun tutorials that may help you as well.

i'll be looking after work.
yes they are obsulete due to the armor and that is why we use missiles.
Kan however (forgot to put that in my description) can maipulate bullets only, which is why she uses it. allthough anti material rifles are way stronger.

Diggin' the music on this one. Seriously, I heard Blockhead and I was like "cool", but then I heard DJ Shadow and DJ Krush. It's like the music is tailored just for me haha.

Cool indeed.
Each of my gun tutorials has some sort of music theme. This one is chilled out music.

Haha, I never noticed that before, but I'm definately going to give it all a second look now. 'chilled out' is definately a very sniper style approach at things. Haha, any hints as to what the others might be before I see for myself?

Stupid question, since I'm not sure if you answered it already: what would you call a rifle that's not an assault rifle or a sniper? I'm uncertain if it's battle rifle, hunting rifle, or simply "rifle". Usually semi-auto, not reliant on a scope like a sniper rifle. I think the Springfield M1A1 Super Match might be an example?

That would be a good idea too!
Always wondered why the hell they always call the big machine guns (RPD and such) as light machine gun other than they can be carried, cuz they look anything but light
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
PhiTuS In reply to lezardman002 [2010-06-19 19:42:21 +0000 UTC]
"Light" machine guns are portable and "heavy" machine guns are stationary.
THIS is a heavy machine gun: [link]
There are also "general purpose machine guns" that can fill both roles and "medium machine guns" that are halfway between an LMG and a HMG.
