Description An intermediate Tutorial for Apophysis [link] by Xyrus02.

You can learn some things about Xaos and how to make an endless flame.

Have fun and please post your results!

* Hint 2 (cleaning borders):
- add post_crop to xform 3 and set the postcrop values for left and right to -0.5 and 0.5 (this removes unnecessary parts of the flame at a distance of 0.5)
- use different values if you like
- now change the splits_x value of xform 6 to the used postcrop value (0.5) for nice fitting flames

Thanks! Is it possible to do and endless with the circular flame tut? I notice the line goes the wrong way (vertical not horizontal) and trying to do a linear flip on the bipolar or a post-xform causes the pattern to do awful things. I want to see what glynnsym can do to it. Am I missing a step?

i'm not exactly sure what you want to do, maybe you would just need to rotate the post-transform-triangle by 90°? can you send some parameters?

Here you go. I figured out the flip BTW. But, you got that nice plastic bubble shape to remain basically as it was. I am unable to do the same with the gnarl. Probably because it's three transforms instead of two which complicates things. I'm sure I'm messing up Xaos somewhere. Also when I add linear it seems to distort the shape further. No worries. Here's a better example anyways I reduced it to 2 transforms. Basically from what I can figure the bipolar alters the original pattern on x-form 2, If I eliminate the "to" field in Xaos on X-form 3 the whole thing dies. *Shrug* Thanks for looking into this!
