Description Various floating robot enemies. Praetorian Police and Imperial Defense groups typically spawn with a few troopers and 1-2 of the corresponding support drones.

I'm quite fond of the Monitor Sphere: like other characters in Praetoria, it starts off innocuously enough but becomes a lot more aggressive when attacked. The Sphere actually shifts the color of its lights and pops out a series of cannons (!).

Usually the orb enemies are the most boring in video games but you made them look cool. Great work!

The monitor spheres, curiously, are sometimes seen with the PPD but only as idle animation props in Imperial City.
The other time I've seen them was before the Imperial Defense Force received their proper look and had just been palette swapped TEST, the battle orbs they summoned were originally just the standard monitor Sphere.

To be honest, I kind of liked it a bit more, the current battle orbs remind me a bit more off like something the Rikti would use.

I see the Rikti tech as a lot more organic, w/ long curving lines and not of lot of geometric shapes. Contrast that with the IDF drones, and I think you'll be able to pick out the difference.

I do kind of already see it, it's a lot more apparent in your concept art than in-game though. It's mostly the whole "red energy ball" look.

But recalling how the rikti drones are modeled after nautilus shells (I'm pretty certain they are at least), I see your point.

(Thinking about it, Rikti Dropships kind of remind me of cuttlefish.

I think T.E.S.T. were meant to summon Monitor Spheres. The only place I was able to find them was as a contact in the Mission Architect.

I've seen orbs, but I don't recall seeing Monitor Spheres anywhere. Intended to be the Praetorian equivalent to PPD Police/Arbiter Drones?
