Description
About The MOCBioNerdly Is a MOC I built for Tommy Williamson's contest on his website Bricknerd called "Nerdvember ." Typically, MOCers take Nerdly, which was designed by Tommy and instructions supplied, and they put their own spin on the design. Sometimes they deviate from it and I chose the same. Going in I knew I didn't want to make the standard Nerdly component. Luckily for me I had just gotten set 42029- Customized Pick-up Truck . Its many panel elements came in very handy for building Nerdly in a larger technic oriented style. The timing was perfect to. I had the set together long enough to be ready to let it go.
Getting into the build I knew I was going to need Nerdly regardless of what direction I took so I set out to get him done ASAP. I had an empty box with most of him there. I ended up having to make a Bricklink order to get the red rims that make up his Studs. It was well worth it. I really like how those came out.
After I got the Nerdly portion figured out I struggled a little bit on what direction to go with him. After having a conversation with my dad he suggested something that inspired me and I knew what I was going to do. I was determined to turn my Technic/Constraction "BioNerdly into a Bobble-head figure!
After that I knew I wanted to give him a cute Chibi-esque body. This proved to be most of the challenge in the MOC because I had to build him sturdy enough to hold up his big wobbly head, hence the ratchet liftarm-joints in his legs. Shapewise he's slightly modeled off of Tommy, who's not a thin guy.
Personally, this is one of my favorite MOCs that I've built in a while. He's so adorable and fun to play with. I'm glad he's mine because if it wasn't I would want him. He's so cute. His glasses can also be expressive. I had a video showcasing this but the internet died while uploading it and I had to abort it. I might post this on youtube or flickr in addition to the one already there.
There's no bio for this MOC since he's just a recreation of Tommy's Mascot. Thank you for reading, commenting, favoriting, watching, etc.

Well what else am I supposed to call you? You won't go by any particular name for any length of time. And you're paranoid and act like if we know your first name the whole internet will know everything about you.

not paranoid, borderline schizophrenic.
names hold power, and I never really liked mine, very hillbilly name.

Well that's not good.
Eh, you are kinda a hillbilly though. Nothing wrong with that I reckon'. You could always embrace the bumpkinness like Gale-OneOfMany has. He's a country Bumpkin and proud of it.

Oh yeah, I think that's the guy who works as a farm hand, I do too.
Don't get me wrong, southern cooking and hard work are great, but how annoying would it be to hear "Tyler" or "Keith" every time someone wanted your attention? Dave is way better.
Keeping emotionally detached from the online community was my main reason for hiding my name, but I think I'll start using my surname now, because you make a valid point.

Yeah he does. Gale is a cool dude and a good MOCer. He'd still be a BML Admin if he wasn't so busy. You should watch him if you're not already.
I think both of those names are fine. I wouldn't mind either of them. To me they're normal guy names, like Dave.
I completely disagree. Being attached to this community has been so enriching for me. It's irrevocably changed me for the better both as a person, and unquestionably as a MOCer. It hasn't all been a bed of roses trust me. Friends have come and gone, and come back even, and its been stressful sometimes like with getting things done in the BML recently, but for better and for worst, this has been an amazing experience for me. Besides, you can't appreciate the good without having some bad. That's the cost of living life, its all about the balance, Yin and Yang dude. You can sit there and try to protect yourself from the bad, but you're also denying yourself the good to.

Bad soup, good soup, either way, I'd like it.
I merely need to focus on the offline soup for now, family problems and whatnot, an online hobby needs to stay away from my primary concerns in these early stages of my independent life.
The wise man of my family seems to agree.

Two different functions actually. Rubberbands for the side to side motion and a lego Soccer Minifig stand piece for the back and forth motion.
