Description     IT'S FINALLY DONE! This is certainly one of the longer art projects I've taken on-- I started in early April-- but I now have a complete map of the world in my Arcana Crew setting. I had to put in some major research about tectonics, water geography, and so on, and I also did a decent amount of number-crunching trying to get population sizes in certain areas closer to where I wanted, and I'm very glad I did, because the map came out looking a lot more realistic because of it. My sole gripe is with the scale of some of the features- as my first world-sized map, I had to constantly remind myself I was working on a global scale, and some areas ended up a good deal bigger than I originally wanted them. Ah, well, at least it'll give me more space to explore in the stories and games, right?

The large map: A political and technical. The yellow labels indicate countries and national borders. The blue dots are major towns ("major" meaning either regional importance or relevance to the story), and the blue stars are major cities. And the pink dots are dungeons or other adventuring venues and the pink stars are final game dungeons. Entalithys, GTU, the largest city in the world, is where the Arcana Crew themselves live and serves as the hub for most of the games (as planned so far, at least).

Bottom-left: Elevation map, ranging from purple in the deepest trenches, to cyan and green near sea level, to red and white on the highest mountains. The highest point is Whisper Peak, Sindvalgren (~27,000 feet) and the lowest is Bluespark Valley, in the Merian Ocean (~-30,000 feet).

Bottom-center: Population density map. On land, white is uninhabited, yellow is rural, and dark red is the densest urban areas. Underwater, it's about the same thing but with shades of blue. The total population of the world is somewhere around 1.6 billion.

Bottom-right: Biome and climate map. This one is a little more complicated, so instead of trying to explain it here I made this special numbered copy , so you can see where everything is yourself!

I love the world building - intense! Especially how you integrated the undersea civilizations. Do you have a document detailing the setting?

If you mean a single document with all the info I have, no-- I'm not quite that organized. So far, luckily, just keeping all my notes in one place has worked well enough.

Oh damn you went all out :0
As a geologist I especially like the elevation map, as I had to stare a quite a lot of them when I took geomorphology. I can see how much work went into this, amazing job!
