Hey everybody, sorry for running late, crazy week last week. So here is the next page of Catch Me If you Can and the Cerulean Cave battle has begun! Very happy how this page came together, tried all sorts of things and everything I wanted to do was achieved. I always enjoy doing effects and dynamic posing, so fight sequences are a great joy for me to work on. I hope you guys like it as much as I enjoyed making it!

Red's Journal: Dragon Pokemon
I had seen Dragonite a few times on TV, usually Lance's, but I had never seen one in person until I challenged the Elite Four. Dragonite was the star of Lance's team and was a force to be recon with. After becoming champion, I spent quite a bit of time with Lance, mainly due to him and me working together on diplomatic assignments in Johto. I was interested in raising some dragons myself but since I didn't have any experience with them, it was a common area of discussion between us when we visited Johto.
According to him, Dragon types specialize in Draconic magic, which grants them the Dragon typing. This was the key distinction between Pokemon that resembled Dragons but were not Dragons themselves like Gyarados and Charizard. Draconic magic is an ancient power that goes back thousands of years and many of the secrets revolving around it have been lost with time. Lance told me that his training method was all about mastering this ancient power and he used long forgotten techniques to compliment them. This was a major reason he was so invested in fixing relations between Kanto and Johto, as Johto took great pride in the old ways and rediscovering what has been long lost. Dragons respond very well to this, their powers come from these sources and they themselves respect it and trainers who so so as well.
Originally I expected to receive Dratini from Lance. However Lance refused to give me a Dratini, telling me I needed to respect these teachings and the source of their ability before I could expect to raise one. Only than would I be ready to and I would know when that was when the Dragon of Kanto chose to appear to me.
