Return of Nightmare, been a while since this guys made a physical appearance. The reason for this revolves around one of the themes but all you need to know if he's going to be playing a much larger role from this point on. I think I talked about the Monarchy system these guys use in this series before but in case I didn't, I'll go over it. These two discuss it some here. The basic concept is the strongest individual takes over a place and acts as essentially a ruler. Rotaar did this on his island as well. Dragonite, when he got powerful, did the same thing but instead of ruling with an iron fist, he acted as more of a protector of the area. Nightmare has been one of the only individuals strong enough to challenge him and attempted to do so about a year ago and failed. Since then, he's gotten a lot stronger and dragonite himself has gotten older and weaker (as he mentioned to Shadow earlier). So effectively, Nightmare is taking this place over and is proceeding to do so. He thinks the title has been made a mockery of though and plans to re-establish it as what it originally meant, the strongest and most powerful individual in the area. An individual that should be feared essentially, not used. As said, Rotaar did this as well on Rotaar's island, so you can get an idea of how aggressive and dangerous you typically need to be to make this happen. Dragonite however is a kind soul that didn't want anybody getting hurt, so had the conversation someplace else. Think that basically sums the whole thing up for those that might be confused about this. This stuff will be gone over and talked about in the comic itself as well. *And for those curious, yes Nightmare does plant to kill Dragonite here. I don't plan to show this fight but I might change my mind. The next couple pages will focus on something else while I decide on that.*
