Oh, I was so scared when I read this (don't know if it's in the TV series, haven't watched it), but it was awesome and horrible all the same!
All the chapters have names, so you know from what perspective they are written, and when I found out he was near death I cheated and looked for his name later in the book to be sure he wouldn't die, haha! Lucky he didn't!

Amazing artwork!
I have to fight off tears every time I remember/watch/read about this moment. All Bran's dreams... crushed. And for what? All that has unfolded for Bran since then is great but it doesn't really console me.
I like to think of Jaime and the bear pit as the opposite of this moment or the counter to this moment. That makes me cry too... in a different way.

Good point - it's like in the bear pit Jaime has come to do a complete 180 turn and was finally able to do a completely selfless act.
All that has unfolded for Bran since then is great but it doesn't really console me.
I feel the same - and I can't help but roll my eyes at those who say that Bran "whines too much" about his condition. Granted, his chapters might not be the most exciting (though I liked them in Dance), but expecting a little kid who is paralyzed, left an orphan, and forced to escape from home into the great unknown to simply shrug it all off... seems a bit too much to me. It would be unrealistic for him not to be affected by what he's gone through.

Bran hardly whines at all. We just read his perspective about his disability. Those people who say Bran whines alot are doubtless the same people who just skip his chapters, and so don't know what they're talking about.

Is it wrong that this kinda made me laugh?
Don't worry, Bran, you'll fly soon enough.

This was the first moment in the book where I was really struck by the cruelty of people. Sadly though, not the last :/

Yes, that was a turning point... it's what got me hooked to the books - and prepared me to expect the worst happening to ANY character.
Thanks for the comments and +favs!

That is awesome I love how you captured Bran's expression. I nearly cried at this part it was so cruel of Jaime (then again he seems cruel anyway =/).

Bran was one of my favorite characters, he was somewhat spoiled by the fall. Them Lannisters. Cersei is easily hated, Jaime is OK, since he's the Kingslayer, but Joffrey...he's like all the bad attributes you could slam together into one person. O.o Joffrey=hate
Ooops...I got a bit off topic. You did a great job on this. Poor Bran.

Oh my gosh. That looks awesome! I love this one, and the companion peice. You did such a great job with the anatomy on both peices. I'd comment on the other, but at the moment, I'm in the family room with none other than that.

This is great! I love looking at all the Asoiaf characters you draw, you capture them really well!
The dynamic of this one is awesome -- sort of feels like I'm falling with Bran while I stare at it.

I like this... I feel like I'm falling too and it reminds me, dimly, of this one bit of the Animatrix, when Kid falls off the top of a building Striking.
