"Sound the Bugle" ~Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron OST

Adhara stood on the vivid green grass next to a grave. She missed the times when the three of them galloped the rich plains of her homeland, she wanted to go back in time and live those days forever, she just wanted Zuni, Alcor and her to be united as it should had always been. But now, Zuni was gone, Alcor had left her and she was all alone. She didn't even know if he was alive.
Looking up to the sky that was now dyed grey, she called in a low voice: "He just left me there Zuni... He left me there... Why? I want him back, I want you back... I want our old memories to be real again. Why did you have to leave us?"
Adhara lowered her head and cried as silver water drops fell from above. She then perceived something and a chill went down her spine as she felt a head resting over her back. "Alcor?" she called, but when she looked behind no one was there. Her eyes opened wide.
"...Zuni?" She could feel her presence and a mixture of sorrow and joy overcame her restless body and mind. She closed her eyes.
"I know... I must find him, I Must Keep On... For me... for you... for all of us..."
She then left, her eyes still closed and her head still low but with her heart filled with hope again.

The ghostly unicorn is Zuni. I'm planning on drawing her again soon in a finished work.
Adhara managed to escape from her prison, luring the dragon(fortunately for her (and Alcor) he was, let's say, VERY unintelligent XD) and went back to visit the place where Zuni is buried.
I'm not too fond of Alcor's head but I love Adhara's hind-quarters and the effect I managed to give to Zuni.

The reason why Adhara's mane and tail are blowing on different directions from her feathers while the grass looks still is because I thought there would be some signs of Zuni's presence, other than just the feeling of her body agaisnt Adhara's.
