Sure! The actual toolbox icon should be set to Pen Tool. (Not freeform or anything like that.) The two buttons at the top are Paths and Pen Tool. :3

I'm pretty stuck with this tutorial, I CTRL and drag into a curve and it blacks out as a half circle- what am I doing wrong?Β

You need to change your settings. Check out the first image in the tutorial and make sure your settings are identical to the ones circled. :3

This was a great tutorial! Most helpful one I've seen. I just started trying (emphasis on trying) to use the pen tool to make lineart and have been failing miserably. Hopefully I can somewhat do it now after seeing this haha
