I’ve been drawing a lot of OCs lately and wanted to try drawing something more generic as sort of an apology and reward for my followers for putting up with all my wack stuff. Since college starting I haven’t had much time for bigger drawings of my own.

Anyway, I like how this came out. The shift in colour is a direct result of my painting/colour theory class (Which I have a hassliebe relationship with...) and the more accurate anatomy is mostly thanks to Scott Hartmann’s Dromeaosaurus skeletal, which I was referencing heavily. I know this is supposed to be a Dakotaraptor but I couldn’t find a reliable Dakotaraptor skeletal out there.

Not sure if it was too noticeable in the old one, but the dromie’s wings are clipped so the long feathers don’t hinder the arm movement. Just a bit of added lore.

I imagine this dino being the trusty steed of a knight in training, perhaps in my mystical Eulebene universe.
