Yeah, there too many assholes out there who what stuff for free. I met a lot of those people. Asking me an art for free is like they don't appreciate what I draw.

That makes a lot of sense. People just trying to get free stuff, and they don't even know the artist they trying to get free stuff from? That makes it even more sad. Its like all they see is the "art" and how good it looks. But they don't both trying to get to know the person who is making it, or understand how much work they put into it. Because they don't really care.
I was actually thinking about doing free art stuff for people too. But I change my mind now. I'm gonna wait until I improve my skills more and then charge people too. Because people just don't understand how much effort, and frustration it actually takes to make good art. Now I wish you well on your art adventures. But yeah, I've been told to draw some stuff for the Japanese school I used to study at for free. At a time I was desperately looking for a job and needing money.

This so true , im no profesional but i know how long it takes and how stressing it is to be an artist. Sometimes it fizicaly hurts but people just dont , wont and ignore to understand.

Personally, I don't understand why people seem to expect art for free. I've seen one person at some other community who was complaining about how nobody would draw this one commission they want for free, and how hard it is that they can't find an artist to do it for free, oh woe is that person and cursed be those terrible artists.

indeed, they seem to think it really simple and it dont take time to do. but people fail to understand that you pay for material, and you put time to do so. it not a doodle that take 2 min to do. and if you were to do it they would probably complain that it low quality.....
Other problem i heard is when an artist agree on a price, they do the work, the client is not happy with the result and refuse to pay (or ask for a refund) but still keep the images.

I agree with alexichabane - even though you enjoy making art (I hope), you must still get your well-deserved cash. Because if you love your work, you most likely put in effort in it to produce even better art every time, which is worth paying more and more, as your skill grows.
That said, my own commissions have been gathering dust ever since I introduced those new prices...

Yeah, people always want art for free because they think it is "fun" for you to do.
But your time and skill is valuable, and artists should not forget that!
