Description
Another looped animation. Animating is rather fun, and it looks so much cooler than a single image, but Ive always had issues with them. First it was rendering them; being so long it was nearly impossible for me to do so. Then there was getting them on to Deviant art. Now Ive fixed both it seems. This was rendered with a depth camera. Normally these cameras are used for things like improving post work or creating displacement maps. This animation, although 15 seconds long, rendered in 18 minutes total because there are no need for lights when using this camera. Can you believe that? 450 frames (basically, 450 renders) in 18 minutes!
I have another trex one in mind...
Lets hope it turns out good...

Rof, the main time losing at animating is about lights.. the long time renders was my nightmares too... i was try to be realistic and for that got 10-15 lights at same scene.. Jurassic Town 4took nearly month to render..
After that i figure out something about lights and now i render with only "2" light more better quality and one frame takes about 1-2 min 1280-960...you should not use backgrounds.. just use pictures..
So if you make anims with small res, it would be more faster.. i dont know about daz3d.
Poser can preview render animations and its tooo fast too.. but its poser..

For most of these, my background has been a black cube; and I usually render at 200 x 200, which is a good GIF size and it renders at less than 10 seconds per frame.Β
So far, in terms of lighting, I have 3 lights that are all light panes. Β They produce more accurate shadows, so I use them more than spotlights or distant lights. Β They may take a bit longer to render, but it's not noticeable at 200 x 200.
I think DAZ has the option to render a preview, but it always crashed when I used it. Β

A stereogram of this would he amazing, and there are quite a few simple, free, easy to use programs to do that, and this animation is perfect being b and w like that.

A stereo gram or other stereo image would make these pretty cool. I just have to learn a bit more about stereo stuff so I can apply it correctly.

You should totally make a videogame using your city story thing.

Im not sure. Its kinda short and has really low quality. I might just to see how it looks.
It is meant more for deviantart because it can loop.

Look on the bright side - once he's all chubby and stuff, his belly can be used as a trampoline

You should totally find one of these that processes batch-images or even animations and make a stereogram of it [link]

From what I understand, making a stereo image shouldn't be too hard. Isnt it just a slightly different camera angle, so the stuff in the front stays still while the background moves?

Heheh, I mis-read that as 'stereoscopic' and thought "Waaait... That's completely wrong..."
[link] This is what I was thinking of (A fascinating "Making 3D '3D-er' than before" rendering mode ^^

A stereo-image, yes. This would be a stereo-gram though. Think along the lines of those Magic-Eye books. [link]
