Description
The Andromeda Galaxy with its two companion galaxies M32 and M110. Taken on the night of 30/31 October. I'm not very good with photoshop and think it is a little over processed. Still pleased with the picRelated content

Oh, thanks a lot! Well, this is one of my early images, from when I first started in astrophotography. I've got loads more which I'd say are much improved on this one. Yeah, I can highly recommend a telescope

Thank mate!! This is a really old image and think it's very over-processed. I can't wait to get a good one of this again. A mosaic of this would be cool Thanks for the comment!

*gasps* another space one? fantastic! the things on this planet are amazing and beautifull, but the things that exist in space are equally as astounding. you have an eye for such a capture.

Thank very much!!!
I'm very pleased with this but to be honest I wish i'd done a better job. Most telescopes don't capture all of the andromeda galaxy because it's sooooooooooooooo wide! The best way is to do a mosaic or what i've tried is a picture through a 300mm camera lens, gives a wider field of view. Here's one i did in january that way [link]

thanks!!. This is the brightest galaxy around and can be seen naked eye at darkish site. You will see this with ease through a telescope from a well lit city. There's hope yet

Cool pic. Its a bit blue but nice dust lane detail. Was this taken prime focus? I think the view in my scope would be too zoomed in even with the focal reducer. I can't wait till the weather clears up here to try.

You actually took a photo of this with a telescope? o_O That's amazing. I your title, especially the part "With Friends".
I've only seen this galaxy (in real life) once, at a star party a couple of years ago. I
astronomy.

Thanks very much!
I've never been to a star party, love to go. What would people do if its cloudy though? Did you see the galaxy through a telescope? At a dark site the andromeda galaxy can be seen with the naked eye as fuzzy star.

Yes, I did see the Andromeda Galaxy through a telescope. It is so awesome to see all those cool things out in space with a telescope! Where I live, it is in the mountains, so the skies are really awesomingly clear at night. Though, I've never seen Andromeda with my naked eye. I'm going to have to go outside again some night & see if I can find it. ^_^

Yeah a bit blue I think. It is upside down because I have a reflecting telescope which inverts as you probably know. There is no right way up in space though
