Origin: Marianas Trench (Earth 616 type world where metahumans exist)

Aidal is currently the only child born into the royal lineage of the Peskan'Tasi. His father, Tirtus, has ruled as Lord Sovereign for over 2000 years. Within that time frame, the need for the creation of a Tribedauq has arisen 4 times. Each occasion required the sacrifice of a member of the royal blood line to become the Tribedauq, so each occasion saw the death of Tirtus's children
Aidal is very young by Peskan'Tasi standards, so has not been brainwashed by the lessons and history surrounding the Tribedauq. He secretly suspects his father, with the assistance of an Oracle, bears one child at a time in preparation for catastrophic events to his people. Thus ensuring not only the continuation of their civilization and culture, but Tirtus's place on the throne.
Despite his misgivings, Aidal is loyal to his people and their ways and willingly sacrifices his immortality in order to protect them. He hopes that after being granted the abilities and power of the Tribedauq, he will be able to figure out a way to extend his life and confront his father.

Even without the powers of the Tribedauq, the Peskan'Tasi are a gifted race.
Their skeletal structure consists of a strong, dense composite protecting them from the pressures of the abyss. Their skin is also tough, similar in strength to a carbon fiber weave. They are able to breathe in open air as easily as they do underwater, thanks to a bi-functional gill filtration system. They also move with natural athletic grace and speed underwater, so are preternaturally fast when not confined to underwater environments. Members of the warrior caste are expertly trained in close quarters combat and weapons use. And although individually, the Peskan'Tasi are not hyper intelligent, as a civilization they will work together without question towards a common goal, which has resulted in huge advances in science and technomancy. Although they call the Marianas Trench their home, the species has established interdimensional colonies through the use of warp portal technology.
Despite their advances in science and technology, there still exists a small sect that dabble in the arcane. Their powers usually revolve around the manipulation of water, and are reserved to those of or closely linked to the royal blood lines.

The majority of the species can communicate with underwater fauna and have a deep respect for the ocean and it's inhabitants.

The Peskan'Tasi look down upon other races, seeing them as intrusive and parasitic in nature. They especially dislike surface dwellers and their inability to live hand in hand with their environment. The only surface dwellers they deal with are those tied to the ocean, such as the island born peoples of the Marianas, New Zealand, Hawaii, etc. If their is a need to deal with surface dwellers they are willing to do so, however, if there is no gain or reason to, they will avoid them at all costs.
