Description
XP LEOPARD Style LogonI have noticed that there have been a number of queries regarding an XP Leopard style logon.
Leopard uses the flat grey used in all their Gui apps (not the horizontal stripes) and as those of you working on a Mac also know, the logon thoughtfully displays your name under the MAC OS X text above the input box.
I have made a quick update to the existing logon screens apps changing the graphic elements only and putting GENERIC OS information in place of the user name....
This is a simple and basic mod to meet a small demand. I have not repositioned the "restart' button. The "restart" button still exists (and works) at the bottom, in the middle - but its invisible. The two buttons seen at the bottom, are decorative and non-functional. The rest is identical to the existing "Tiger" versions.

You will probably have to get TuneUp Utilities.

You can replace the original file, but you can also use tuneup...

You'll need to use Replacer to replace the system files.

It's great, and I like it. But is there a way to remove the buttons on the bottom? It always distracts me.

I modded it for Snow Leopard, but it keeps giving me a stupid Line 40 error. Before that, it was perfect.
Mark, if you could help me with this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I don't know if it would work in Vista - Sorry.
Maybe check the boards and see if any other people have tried to change their logon pages in Vista and how

Cheers for the credit Dustin. Interesting to go through your list and see your choices - obviously, in some cases I would choose differently. That said, its a very good and well thought set for people to use..
Well done and cheers for sharing.

Not sure how you want the res increased??
I made this directly from my Mac running a 30in cinema display and I've tested it using 1280 right up to 2550pixels.....
The size is always the same as is the clarity of the image....
Let me have your thoughts.....

Well i'm on 1440x900 and it's a bit unsharp i can see that it is unsharp because the round digits when u enter ur password are rectangular it's not such a big deal but it would be very much apreciated if you could give me a solution although thx ^^

another great work mate!
U'r work are very customizable
i cut 5px of the mainframe bmp to get perfect view
(it streched before, my res ->1280x800)
and i can change background easily
thank you very much 4 this
P.S : I'm still confused how can u made these shadows using a bmp ?

RaatsGui In reply to reed1codex [2008-07-12 16:01:39 +0000 UTC]
Interesting that it changed on your 1280 x 800 screen. I have tested it on 1600 x 1200, 1440 x 900 and on my Apple cinema display of 2560 x 1600 and it stayed the same throughout. Because Leopard changes the size of the box dynamically (no vertical scrollbars) I had to compromise with this general release because I assumed that some users would have multiple logons.
On my own systems, I have matched the size of my genuine Leopard logons so they are 100% accurate - but then that's the beauty of being able to customise yourself..
Actually, the bmp is not actually a bmp its an alpha png and thats how I got the shadow.
I'm glad it works for you mate. Many thanks for taking the time to let me have the feedback

I'm sorry for not asking your permission first
I'm very interested so I forgot.. hehe
changed backg to my current wall
it has nice transition , and slightly fixed pass frame [link]
and I want to change the font
is that possible ? what font did u use for "Back" & "Log In"
1 more , i want to add caption "Windows is shutting down" blah blah, it doesnt look good without that caption isnt it ?
