New Spinarak, because I redid Ariados. I still like how I drew Spin before so this is really more of a revamp than a redesign.Why does Ledyba get all the attention .__.

Spinarak is cool, but I like both of them. I'll always like Ariados better than Ledian though.

Eh, that's how the original design is though. I could have added another pair of legs and some pedipalps to make it more anatomically correct as compared to real spiders but since it's a PokΓ©mon I just try to keep it as close to the official art as possible.

AWWWW, he's just so cute! And fuzzy. I just wanna stroke him, he's just so adorable.
I love the fact that you made him a jumping spider. Those are definitely the cutest kind of spider. And the fact that you made it that plus all the fuzziness of a tarantula just breaks the cute metre by spider standards (though if it has hair like a tarantula, I'm sure it would be all pokey and stuff...)
Though I must say, after the butt-stomping he gave zapdos in Mysterious Dungeon, ledyba earned the attention. At least in my book.

Ledyba probably gets more attention because it isn't based off of a spider. Arachnophobia is the most common phobia when it comes to insects/arachnids after all.

do you mind making maybe a tutorial on how you draw spiders?
I've been doodling realistic ones and I have a basic idea, but it's good to learn xD

The cephalothorax seems a little too boxy somehow... I don't know how you could have fixed it, but it might have something to do with the angle of the pedipalps (I like the detail on them, though).
The hair texture is nice, too, as is the irregular horn. The Sugimori Spinarak is much too geometric. XD

It's mainly boxy cause it was based a lot off of jumpers, I tried to round it out a bit but I wasn't sure how with that eye arrangement =/

Still, looking at both the real spider and Spinarak, I think the legs would be a little smoother. It does make a lot more sense now, though.

They would be smooth on a regular jumper, but I like to mix up the anatomy a lot so I pretty much combined it with a tarantula for the fluffy legs. It was mostly an aesthetic decision; I love fluffy spiders, and tarantula toes are the cutest

Well spiders are not my fav D: But this makes it look so realistic! It just needs more eyes. Of course the one in the game only has two but adding more would make it look really freaky. Great job.

I dunno why Ledyba gets all the attention...I think it and Spinarak are at about the same level of awesome.
