Description
Here are front and back sprites for the Turquoise/Jade Verao region starters, and their evolutions.Gryfern - GRASS - Featherleaf Pokémon
Opiniper - GRASS - Sharp Leaf Pokémon
Aquilarch - GRASS/STEEL - Metal Leaf Pokémon
Charach - FIRE/BUG - Spiderling Pokémon
Flarach - FIRE/BUG - Wolf Spider Pokémon
Magmarach - FIRE/BUG - Huge Spider Pokémon
Nautide - WATER - Cone Shell Pokémon
Squidamp - WATER/ELECTRIC - Jet Squid Pokémon
Krakark - WATER/ELECTRIC - Vortex Pokémon
NOTE that you may not use these for any reason whatsoever in your own games. That's the main reason I put that background on them, so they're a little more annoying to rip in case anyone was thinking of swiping them.
Yes these are for a project, do not ask what the project is.

I really like the poses and design of the grass gryphon family (especially the third one). As a sidenote, I couldn't help but noticing that these were (probably unsurprisingly) quite Denjuu-like for Pokémon.

Hmm, I worked some on a Ruby patch with my Turquoise/Jade Pokémon but never uploaded it anywhere. I can't find anything useful if I look those up, do you have the links?

It was a MMO game that you can download. I gave my buddy links about it in MSN, so I'm hoping she can retrieve them again from MSN history, but I have to wait, shes at a Con this weekend.

I know that, I didn't want to mangle them with a giant watermark. If anybody actually does go to the trouble to steal them though after I said they're not for random use, they're just a total asshole.

Beautiful sprites! :3 The shading is amazing. One thing I noticed, though, is that Gryfern's back sprite looks taller than Opiniper's back sprite. :/

The amount of space I had for each backsprite differed depending on what Pokémon I was replacing (in this case, Treecko/Grovyle/Sceptile.) I could have made Gryfern shorter but I wanted to use all the space I had available so it ended up looking kind of large compared to its evos XP

I actually think that if I would be able to play a game with these as the starters, I might take the grass type starter for once.
