There's special progams out there you can download.

This one just covers Photoshop though.

RainCookie In reply to riotfaerie [2009-06-18 23:15:08 +0000 UTC]

You can always go grayscale or pattern!

Or print it out at the local library for a small cost xD; (but I guess it varies depending on where you live D: )

Thanks for using my tutorial! c:

Hey... I tried to do that for my icon thingie too but when I tried to set the grid nothing happened. ;~; And I'm also using Photoshop 7.0 too.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to Penelope-Chan [2009-06-07 08:29:15 +0000 UTC]

Try ctrl+' Some Photoshop 7 has their grid option set off initially :]

Penelope-Chan In reply to RainCookie [2009-06-08 00:42:05 +0000 UTC]

This is a really fail question. But what do I do when there are so many shades and colors? T^T For the string and stuffs... I don't think I could buy them ALL.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to Penelope-Chan [2009-06-08 01:27:06 +0000 UTC]

That's usually the problem :c I suggest cross stitching pixel images with less than or about 5 colors.

Luckily for me, my mom made a huge cross stitch piece from a kit. They pretty much doubled the amount of string you need, so she had a lot left over :c

I usually just match the colors and the amount of colors to whatever's available.

I'm pretty sure you can do that too; just buy a pack with assorted colors. Probably cheaper too :U

Oh, and I'm not exactly sure what the universal cost is for a bunch of string, but it's usually like 30 cents over where I buy them at :0

Best of luck~~

Penelope-Chan In reply to RainCookie [2009-06-08 01:55:39 +0000 UTC]

I want to do that. But all the pretty ones have so many colors... ;^;

A pack with assorted colors. That seems like a great idea. :]

Well... that's pretty cheap. And it's just string anyways.
So it should probably be like ~$10 total for just the basic stuff right? (with the string, the fabric.) But how much would the hoop thingie be?

(Geez me. I'm really interested in this. XD)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

RainCookie In reply to Penelope-Chan [2009-06-18 23:42:23 +0000 UTC]

The hoop only cost about $3 D: I actually like the wooden ones better than the plastic ones--but that might be just me xD;;

And yeah c: $10 should be enough for a hoop, some count fabric, and some colors of threads.

(It's good to be ask first! Better get the informations before hand, rite? c: )

Penelope-Chan In reply to RainCookie [2009-06-19 05:48:54 +0000 UTC]

That's good to know. Thanks. :]

Yep. Cause better prepared then... unprepared? Know how much to bring.

Penelope-Chan In reply to RainCookie [2009-06-08 00:27:00 +0000 UTC]

At first I was like ctrl & + & ' ...? Did she type it wrong by accident or something?
And then I tried it. My reaction was uwaaaaaaaah...
Thank yous. :3
