There's special progams out there you can download.
This one just covers Photoshop though.

You can always go grayscale or pattern!
Or print it out at the local library for a small cost xD; (but I guess it varies depending on where you live D: )
Thanks for using my tutorial! c:

Hey... I tried to do that for my icon thingie too but when I tried to set the grid nothing happened. ;~; And I'm also using Photoshop 7.0 too.

Try ctrl+' Some Photoshop 7 has their grid option set off initially :]

This is a really fail question. But what do I do when there are so many shades and colors? T^T For the string and stuffs... I don't think I could buy them ALL.

RainCookie In reply to Penelope-Chan [2009-06-08 01:27:06 +0000 UTC]
That's usually the problem :c I suggest cross stitching pixel images with less than or about 5 colors.
Luckily for me, my mom made a huge cross stitch piece from a kit. They pretty much doubled the amount of string you need, so she had a lot left over :c
I usually just match the colors and the amount of colors to whatever's available.
I'm pretty sure you can do that too; just buy a pack with assorted colors. Probably cheaper too :U
Oh, and I'm not exactly sure what the universal cost is for a bunch of string, but it's usually like 30 cents over where I buy them at :0
Best of luck~~

I want to do that. But all the pretty ones have so many colors... ;^;
A pack with assorted colors. That seems like a great idea. :]
Well... that's pretty cheap. And it's just string anyways.
So it should probably be like ~$10 total for just the basic stuff right? (with the string, the fabric.) But how much would the hoop thingie be?
(Geez me. I'm really interested in this. XD)

RainCookie In reply to Penelope-Chan [2009-06-18 23:42:23 +0000 UTC]
The hoop only cost about $3 D: I actually like the wooden ones better than the plastic ones--but that might be just me xD;;
And yeah c: $10 should be enough for a hoop, some count fabric, and some colors of threads.
(It's good to be ask first! Better get the informations before hand, rite? c: )
