OK, so here is my idea for the plot of a revival of this show: The "movie" starts off at the 1947 Roswell incident. Some kind of craft crash lands in Roswell, Now Mexico. The audience gets to see glimpses of the crashed vehicle, and as the smoke clears, we come to see that it is the remains of a classic Eagle Transporter command module! Inside, there is one survivor, an elderly Commander John Koenig, who has somehow managed to travel back through time to warn Earth of the calamitous events (the moon being knocked out of orbit) which he knows will occur in 1999 if history isn't changed. Koenig's arrival is kept a secret from the world, but his warning is heeded. As a result, nuclear waste is not stored on the moon, and history evolves differently from what we see in the original series. While Koenig's warnings have altered the direction of the space program, they have not stopped it. After the last Space Shuttle mission in 2011, the US manned space program appears to have more or less halted. But in truth, the shuttle's have been replaced by a secret fleet of Eagles and Hawks, developed jointly by the US and UK to confront the growing (secret) threat from UFO's. The story would tie-in with a re-imagined (new timeline) version of the storyline from the old UFO series, including S.H.A.D.O., and a re-imagined Colonel Edward Straker. The show would include re-imagined versions of Alan Carter and other characters from the original series, as well as some new characters. The show would prominently feature the classic Eagle and Hawk ships, as well as some exciting new versions of these ships, and some brand new designs of the "Raven" and "Falcon" fighter craft. Battle scenes would also pair Eagles and Hawks with modern atmospheric fighter craft. The show could continue with subsequent movies or as a TV series. Anyway, I think it could be awesome.
