Well, what I meant was, it seems like the sort of crisis Double D would've had had his obsession with perfection gone overboard. Even when the episode began, I saw Edd in Twilight's OCD-ness. XD

Actually that's not far off from how they presented the script. I was not very familiar with the show when I started (there were a lot of eps to absorb) and Twilight was pitched to me as "very Double-D". Everyone thought it would be a good match.
