Hmmm, tree fatrolls. There's gotta be a fetish for that.
But this is really cool. Reminds me of the metal tree near my college, at the Nelson Atkins museum. I hate drawing trees myself, so making one in 3D... Kutos man, kutos. Lovely work!

A chubby chasing dendrofoliac... hahaha!
I was unaware of that tree sculpture since it's new. What a beautiful piece of public art! I'm familiar with that area a little, since I'm from Northeast Kansas. Do you go to KCAI?

Oh gawd!!!
actually I just noticed it myself a few weeks ago while on a walk (lived here for 2 years). Kinda a hard thing to miss :I But I really like your piece a bit more, I prefer earthy tones than metallic. Or maybe I do like fatrolls, ha! xD
Actually yes, I'm a junior there

heh, yes it is. It's a miracle that I didn't break them during the entire process. This one actually broke, but that was due to a structural problem.
Thank you!

i know how it is. i get carried away during my process sometimes so much that i end up breaking the stone. here is an example [link]

Oh how sad! That one is so beautiful too
That piece reminds me of the movie "Black Swan" since she plays both the black and the white swan. There are many similarities that the life of this piece has with that movie, but I don't want to ruin the movie for you if you haven't seen it.

i actually did recently see the movie and though it was sort of ironic that the idea i had for this piece (which they totally stole from me! )was a white swan that wasn't as innocent as it appeared at first. so when i discovered that the dirty infiltrations in the stone accentuated the theme... imagine how happy i was... until the accident. oh well, if i come across a suitable stone for it, perhaps i'll find it in me to make another version, a sturdier one. thanks for the faves and the watch (again), cheers

Really, I think the fact that you broke it in an attempt to perfect it is directly related to Natalie Portman's character and how she died.

thanks! i hadn't thought of it that way, but now i think a commission by natalie is in order! thank you for analyzing it on that level. sometimes i think my art takes on a life of its own even during the sculpting process. thanks again for you thoughtful comments.
