Description
First thing I'd like to explain: this tutorial absolutely doesn't include anatomy or digital coloring lessons. I think there are many good tutorials about it here on dA.It' just the colllection of my basic tips which are helpful when we want to save some time. These are things I have learnt myself during the recent years and I'd like to share them with you. I hope it will help you to collect ideas, arrange composition of your drawings, and to avoid typical anatomy mistakes. Moreover, I presented some solutions for correcting mistakes or getting the balance of colors in a very quick way.
I'm aware they are very general tips but I think they can be helpful for the beginners.
Hope you will like this tutorial :]

I would say another key note to composition is to keep the focus off the center of the piece.
Great tutorial

Wow, this is nicely done!
There is a better way to do free transform though. Instead of copying and pasting the selection and then working on that area, it is better to use the "float" function of layers.
One way in Corel Painter is, first select the area. Then use the "move" tool and click on the selected area. This "floats" the layer. (Instead of using the "move" tool, you can also go to Select --> Float after you select the area.)
A sub-layer will appear underneath the layer you selected from. The layer will be called "Layer Floating Object."
Treat the floating layer the same way as you would if you copied and pasted the area. Make all your corrections.
When you're done with free transforming and other corrections, "drop" the layer. The floating layer will merge with the original layer (NOT the background or canvas layer).
When you use floating layers, you can keep your lineart or whatever in one layer! It's very useful to keep certain things in one layer, especially when you plan to digitally paint it!

I love this kind of tutorial, it helps people make sure that they at least have the proportions are correct. And I love the fact that it doesnt say you HAVE to make it like how you draw them, but that this is one example and one of the best explanations on how to improve

perfect. I love it. how long did it take you to draw this fluently and pro?? I've been drawing for about 2 years and I don't think i'm progressing with anything. what do you do to draw the body? does the term "drawing simple, not solid" make scense? sorry for such a long comment lol

great tutorial, I like the plastic surgery part, thanks ^u^,
but the one thing I'd like to add is that eyes shouldn't be identical, unless the view of the person is straight forward. If someone is at a tilt, the eyes should be a bit different. (but maybe that's not what you meant by identical XD)
