My other favorite Dark Forest cat! I like to head-canon him as having been a ShadowClan warrior under Ripplestar's reign. Specifically, as Ripplestar's apprentice and his nephew. He learned how to be evil from his uncle, and once Ripplestar died he tried to continue his uncle's evil doings but was found out and exiled for treason, eventually dying alone as a rogue either from illness or starvation. Of course, spending countless seasons in the Dark Forest alone with his regrets made him eventually forget how and why he ended up in the Dark Forest, only vaguely remembering it had something to do with his uncle.

And yes, Ripplestar is in the Dark Forest too, though he doesn't met up with his nephew again until Tigerstar comes around.
