Description
A diptych celebrating the magical harmony of the eternal dance between the Solar and the Lunar powers.Actually this came out of my having two pieces of long, thin watercolor paper left over after cutting a much larger piece. I've always wanted to try a sectional painting, so there we have it. Not a bad use of scrap paper, I think.

It's actually NOT something I wanted to see right now, as I am doing just the same theme at the moment.
And seeing how great yours is, it'll be hard for me to put it aside and do my own thing without influence.
Like, the fact that I now think red hair, rather than blonde would be great for the daylight deity.

*_* You have this wonderful way of painting very thickly and boldly with watercolors which is so wonderful! It's so hard to find people who are so confident in use of this material. I think the sun is my favorite because the color scheme seems to stand out more because of the contrast between the blue and red/yellow, while the moon seems a little lacking somewhere, like it needs a bright punch of color somewhere because the grey/purple/bluish colors are mostly the same tone and don't create quite the visual dynamics of the sun one. Still, this is a gorgeous pair of paintings! Everything flows so wonderfully.

Thanks, I like the Solar one myself. I wanted the Lunar angel to be soft and silvery, and the Solar angel to be bold, bright and energetic for contrast. I really do feel like I'm growing more confident in my painting, and I'm glad that comes through. Thank you for the comment!
