Hehhhe, GOOD EYES my friend!!
YESSSS... they are not only good for my WARHAMMER models - but VERY great for paining on paper! Sadly, they are very expensive and get dry very fast. But they "shine" very good and you can "mix" em with crayons/colored pencils! REALLY!!!!!!!!!!! It's marvellous... when you paint white CITADEL color over a green colored pencil, the white is getting "light green"!!!! Very cool.

You add much watter to paint when you are painting on paper ?

ReptileCynrik In reply to Otter-Grafitsnake [2005-07-21 07:54:08 +0000 UTC]

Well, that depends... I use much water (or to be more precisely: saliva ) to make the edges of the painted spot more "blurry"! And of course, I use my lips to "sharpen" the brush - like a true painter, heheheheheh!
Seriously, the color can be painted quite... "normally". It's really good!

ReptileCynrik In reply to Dreke [2005-07-20 08:46:08 +0000 UTC]

I don't think of you as amateur!! For example... I envy YOU (!) for your clothing style and some face expressions!
Something, which I lack... but maybe, these scales won't quite fit to your characters. Never mind, it was a pleasure to do this tutorial. And I am happy, you like it!

^^ yea,it'll help many, now if only you could do a tutorial on how to draw the tail connecting to be back.Having a hard time drawing that

ReptileCynrik In reply to Dreke [2005-07-21 08:07:46 +0000 UTC]

Hehehhehe... I was kinda thinking you'd ask this! In fact, this was HELL for me, as well!!! To explain this here and right now (see, I wanna help everyone in fastest time ), I can show ya a few nice "butt-shots" of my artworks... in fact, there is a difference between males and females!

1.) The females
The tail of the females is way shorter and smaller, then the males tail. In fact, it's just a "enlarged spinal" (of course). The tail comes out of the body right above the beginning of the buttocks (to make sure, that it looks still sexy ). After all, Reptilian females have much similarities to human anatomy!

Here're some pictures:
[link] (the lower sketch is the current design!)

2.) The males
The tail of the males is straight connected with the horned plates of the belly. The plates go from the chest, over belly, to the end of the tail. The tail is much bigger, then the females tail - and it's got many thorns and hard scales. But after all, it's quite flexible and can be moved at will!

Here're some pictures:

Hope, this helped... maybe, you can give me your eMail adress in time and I can send ya my HOT yiffy artorks (yep, I did that kind, too! ) - there, you can see Reptile in most deloghtful angels!
See ya
