i think everyone has asked me about splatter technique. so i just went ahead and did a full tutorial.if you have any additional questions, feel free to ask-- but i think i covered everything. D8

*cries* i wish i had read this a few days ago (tho i did an ok job)
i had to paint a clown, and since it was under "make it scary" i put "blood" ....
my poor splatters look silly now..
*sighs*
I will use this as a refrence from now on!

When you splatter backgrounds, do you draw like something on top of them, or do you just cover up your drawing and splatter around them?

What kind of paper do you use?
When I go buy paper I just buy the cheapest pad of watercolour paper. D:

nope. should be about the same price, if not cheaper, than watercolour paper.

Ohhhh my goodness this is useful. While I'm not afraid to throw paint at a page, I don't exactly have a... technique. I think it ends up just as much on my wall as my paper. :/

keep a paper towel or another piece of paper handy and cover up whatever you don't want to get splattered. :3

Wow, this is really great! I use splatter alot in my backgrounds, so this is really helpful for me because i usually make mistakes - and not happy ones!
I think i'll try out some of these techniques on my next piece!
