Description
The night didn't go that well for Scarlet. In her escape against her nemesis , her opponent almost burned a city hall and the surrounding areas before running away. Scarlet barely managed to save every civilian near that place.

The fire rescue came right after Scarlet saved the last civilian. She took a rest nearby, leaving the professional to deal with the fire. But she also do that to avoid the judgemental eyes of the people she barely saved. Most of them were in shock even though no one die or in critical condition. However, Scarlet felt guilty that it's actually happen because of her.

Scarlet wonder whether it's all worth it: escaping from her captor, keeping the powers she gained from years of tortures, or even staying alive.

"Miss Scarlet," a kid approached her. "how are you doing?"

Scarlet look at the kid. She didn't actually wanna talk right now, but the kid seemed like she won't leave. "I'm... fine. Shouldn't you be with your parents?"

"I will be, miss," said the kid, "but I wanna give you this first," she then raised her hands, showing a piece of rose in her small hands.

Scarlet in awe for a moment. She didn't know what to say. The kid, however, push the rose to her.

"It's for you, miss," said the kid. "Thank you for saving us."

Scarlet took the rose, feeling touched. The kid run back to her parents, whom Scarlet saved before from the burning city hall. The kid waved her hands before she go with her parents.

"Happy Heroine Appreciation Day, miss Scarlet!"

Hell yes. It's all worth it.

This probably isn't as bright and happy as the one I made last year . What can we say, the city hall caught fire

Heroine Appreciation Day is annual event, better explained on her journal here . This time I give it for Scarlet

(Btw, I just notice this post doesn't actually fit with this year's theme. Ah well   )
